Job Summary
Apply herbicides to roadsides, rights-of-way, guardrails, utility poles, and curbs to control weeds, grass, brush, and invasive vegetation. Operate and maintain spray trucks, ATVs, backpack sprayers, and hose application systems while performing daily inspections, calibration, and minor maintenance. Drive an attenuator truck and perform other duties as assigned when required. Maintain required documentation including application records, labels, and Safety Data Sheets. Follow all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and environmental regulations while working safely in various outdoor weather conditions. Must hold a Class B CDL with a clean driving history and be at least 21 years of age. Ability to travel for up to 2–3 weeks at a time and work overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Class B CDL
- Valid driver's license with a minimum of 5 years of clean driving history
- Ability to travel for up to 2–3 weeks at a time
- Successfully pass a DOT drug screen, DOT physical, background check, previous employment verification, and motor vehicle record review
- Ability to work overtime as needed
- Ability to lift 60 lbs. or more
- Must comply with all company safety policies, PPE requirements, and Drug & Alcohol Policy
- Commercial Pesticide Applicator License (Core & Rights-of-Way Vegetation Management)
- If not currently licensed, the ability to obtain the license within six months of hire
