Job Summary
CDL-A Company Driver responsible for transporting shipping containers between ports, rail yards, and customer facilities on short-haul and regional routes. Haul intermodal containers, secure loads to intermodal chassis per DOT and company standards, and conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Follow FMCSA Hours of Service regulations and safely handle hazardous materials and refrigerated units as needed. Upload required documentation via ELD or dispatch system while maintaining professionalism, communication, and safety. Requires strong understanding of intermodal operations, cargo securement, DOT regulations, and the ability to meet delivery schedules.
Required Qualifications
- CDL-A license with current DOT medical certification
- Minimum age 23
- 2+ years of verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Familiarity with ELD systems and mobile dispatch platforms
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service
- Experience with securing cargo and container chassis
- Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Ability to operate tractor-trailers for intermodal/ regional freight
- High school diploma or equivalent
