Job Summary
Operate a front load truck along established routes, transporting loads to transfer stations, MRFs, landfills, or composting facilities. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, ensuring the vehicle is fueled, safe, and compliant with all governmental regulations. Manage daily routes via electronic or paper systems, track personal DOT hours of service, and report moving violations or accidents to supervisors within 72 hours. Complete end-of-shift duties including dumping, cleaning, and fueling while maintaining a valid Texas Class B CDL and Medical Card. Available for scheduled shifts, including holidays, weekends, and overtime.
Required Qualifications
- One year of related medium or heavy truck driving experience and/or specialized training
- Ability to work independently with minimal or no supervision
- Ability to demonstrate proficient use of electronic technology within eight weeks of hire date
- Ability to understand and execute work orders communicated via onboard technology
- Ability to read, write and speak in English sufficiently to converse with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals, to respond to official inquiries, and make written entries on reports, required logs and records and other business-related documents
- Valid Texas Class B Commercial Driver's License
- Safe driving record for the past five years
- Valid Medical Card or the ability to obtain one
