Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •Must have at least a valid Class B CDL
• •Must have a valid DOT Medical Card or able to obtain prior to hire
• •Must be at least 19 years of age
• •No more than 3 moving violations within the last 2 years
• •Must not have any DUI's or OVI's within the last 5 years or 2 in the last 10 years
• •Legally eligible to work in the United States
• •Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
• •Must be able to read and speak the English language
• •Must be able to lift 50 lbs
• •Must be able to lift 100 lbs
• •Must be able to work flexible hours
• •Must be able to work nights and weekends
• •Must be able to work overtime
• •Must be able to work weekends
• •Must be able to work holidays
• •Must be able to travel between offices
• •Must be able to work outside in changing temperatures
• •Must be able to work in wet/humid conditions
• •Must be able to work in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter
• •Must be able to stoop/kneel/crouch/crawl
• •Must be able to climb and/or balance
• •Must be able to sit/stand/walk
• •Must be able to read and understand a map and/or navigation system
• •Must have excellent truck driving/maneuvering skills
• •Must have general knowledge of truck mechanics
• •Must have good written and verbal communication skills
• •Must be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external customers
• •Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals, and safety training
• •Must be able to enter/exit the truck approximately 100-150 times per day
• •Must be able to open and secure service gates
• •Must be able to professionally interact with internal and external customers
• •Must be able to clean waste from the packer blade and truck body while following proper Lock Out/Tag Out procedures
• •Must be able to service approximately 100 – 150 commercial customers per day
• •Must be able to maintain cleanliness of truck cab
• •Must be able to conduct daily pre-trip/post-trip inspections and complete DVIR logs
• •Must be able to maintain and update route sheets
• •Must be able to visually inspect front load containers to ensure safe dumping procedures
• •Must be able to clean up areas located around containers when servicing customers as needed
• •Must be able to operate trucks in a safe manner
• •Must be able to dump front-load containers utilizing the forks of the truck
• •Must be able to pull or push containers from enclosures or inside buildings
• •Must be able to service commercial customers on an assigned route(s)
• •Must be able to collect and haul waste or recycling materials to a disposal site or recycling plant
• •Must be able to empty trash/recycling containers into trucks
• •Must be able to haul trucks to a disposal site

Desired Qualifications

• •1-2 CDL truck driving experience preferred
• •Front Load truck driving experience preferred
• •Waste industry experience, a plus
