Job Summary
Administer CDL examinations in accordance with local, state, and Federal regulations while ensuring the safe operation of testing equipment. Conduct pre-trip inspections, basic skills, and over-the-road skills assessments, maintaining the integrity of all testing materials and immediately reporting discrepancies. Submit complete and accurate test evaluations, forms, and reports on a regular basis. Maintain appropriate uniform, attend refresher classes, and assist with the training department when available. Adhere to all company policies, maintain high ethical standards, and ensure equipment reliability. This role requires a valid CDL Class A license, clean driving record, and DOT physical. Required Qualifications
- A valid CDL Class A Commercial Driver's License with all endorsements as required by the Company
- A clean driving record with no moving violations within the last 3 years
- Minimum of 3 years over the road or local driving experience
- Ability to pass and continuously maintain a U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) physical issued in accordance with all regulations and recommendations of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration
- Ability to pass and be approved for a DOT drug screen and hair follicle test (HFT)
- Agreement to post-accident, random and suspicion-based drug testing
- Possession or ability to obtain all required local, state and Federal approvals to be certified as a CDL Examiner
- High school diploma, GED or higher
- Ability to effectively communicate using verbal/non-verbal and written skills
- Demonstration of physical, intellectual and leadership ability to perform the duties outlined within this job description
- Regular, reliable and predictable work attendance
