Job Summary
Drive a dump truck to transport and unload loose materials like sand, gravel, crushed rock, and asphalt across South Carolina job sites. Perform pre and post shift vehicle checks, operate controls for the dump bed, tarping, and third axle, and manually clean the tailgate and apron after unloading. Monitor dash gauges, maintain situational awareness using mirrors, and complete daily logs and inspection reports in compliance with federal and state regulations. Report any vehicle defects immediately and assist crews with general labor duties as needed. Maintain communication with dispatch and supervisors regarding assignments and scheduling. Full-time position with competitive wages starting at $23.00/hr. Requires a valid CDL, Medical Examiner's Certificate, and a strong commitment to safety excellence.
Required Qualifications
- Must maintain a valid CDL License
- Must meet company requirements to maintain a current Medical Examiner's Certificate
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions around moving equipment, dust, vibration, and construction traffic
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, overtime, and travel to support South Carolina operations as needed
- Strong commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to follow written, verbal, and diagram instructions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Ability to maintain composure in stressful traffic or job site situations
- Ability to travel and support job sites throughout South Carolina as needed
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience preferred
- Experience operating trucks equipped with third axle preferred
