Job Summary
Operate a tractor-trailer or box truck to deliver finished product to customers while complying with state and federal laws. Maintain the vehicle according to company management policy and inspect trailer loads for proper loading and correct product counts before departure. Transport loads by established routes to proper destinations, verifying product counts during loading and obtaining required acknowledgments or signatures for bills of lading. Return completed documentation to the Transportation Manager and comply with performance measures. Ensure all driving practices adhere to company policies, procedures, and applicable traffic and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- CDLA License
- Prior experience driving in large vehicles, such as box truck or similar
- Demonstrated experience practicing safe driving practices
- Must regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds
- Must occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds
- Close vision
- Distance vision
- Color vision
- Peripheral vision
- Depth perceptions
- Ability to adjust focus
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience delivering and handling freight
