Job Summary
Operate commercial vehicles to deliver products to customer locations and job sites, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while following all DOT and FMCSA regulations. Inspect vehicles before and after trips, load and unload orders carefully with proper hazardous material separation, and verify purchase orders and delivery tickets to reduce errors. Support job site safety by checking for potential hazards, taking photos of delivered products, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries, inspections, and receipts. Requires a valid Class A or B CDL with Hazmat endorsement, DOT medical certification, and ability to lift up to 100 pounds. Local travel commencing and concluding at the branch.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- HAZMAT Endorsement
- Current DOT Medical Certification
- Completion of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) Registration
- Ability to continuously lift and handle freight/materials up to 100 pounds
- Must be 21 years old for transporting hazardous materials
- A clean driving record (no hit & runs and no DWI/DUI in the last 18 months)
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance and OSHA safety regulations
- Basic computer skills to record deliveries and track inventory on a computer or tablet
- Must meet DOT medical certification standards to operate vehicles safely
- Must be available for local travel, with deliveries commencing and concluding at the branch
- Ability to lift and handle freight/materials up to 100 pounds throughout the workday
- Ability to bend, crouch, and stand for prolonged periods
- Must be able to use personal protective equipment (PPE)
Desired Qualifications
- Air Brake endorsement
- Experience operating Manual or Automatic Transmission vehicles
- Valid and unexpired forklift certification
- Prior commercial driving experience
- Familiarity with DOT/OSHA safety regulations
- Understanding of DOT & OSHA safety regulations
