Job Summary
CDL Driver I responsible for safe, efficient transportation of materials to job sites and locations. Requires maintaining Class A or B CDL, performing pre/post-trip inspections, managing logs, loading/unloading materials, and providing customer service during deliveries. Duties include operating Class A/B commercial vehicles, ensuring DOT compliance, delivering to active construction sites and inter-state destinations, and assisting with warehouse stocking. Emphasis on safety, accuracy in order verification, and proper handling of materials.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers required
- 1-2 years CDL experience preferred
- Experience transporting and handling lumber and building materials required
- Proficiency in basic math, reading orders, and communication with customers and team members
- Current Class A or Class B CDL License required
- Knowledge of DOT regulations, logbook requirements, and hours-of-service compliance
- Ability to load/unload, operate a truck-mounted forklift, and maintain truck cleanliness
