Job Summary
Operate construction equipment including Bobcats, grinding tractors, and forklifts while maintaining safety standards and performing roadside repairs. Verify striping project details with the Project Manager, read blueprints, and lay materials on roadways. Load and unload equipment, shovel work areas, and haul materials to the jobsite. Train other operators as needed and perform flagging tasks when required. Complete quality control, safety, inventory, and billing audits to ensure accuracy. Requires a valid Colorado driver's license, flagger certification, and ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Seasonal work dependent with hours limited by weather or workload.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid Colorado Flagger Certification
- Valid Colorado Drivers license
- 0-2 years experience operating various types of truck mounted striping equipment
- Basic reading, writing and mathematical skills
- Communication skills
- Knowledge of the safe and efficient use of hand and power tools, including hand shovel, pick, construction bar, rake, broom and other hand held power tools
- Knowledge of safety rules for construction site
- Ability to read blueprints and assist with layout
- Proficient in the maintenance and repair of truck mounted striping equipment
- Basic knowledge of truck operations, striping materials and striping applications
- Knowledge of and exposure to hazardous materials
- Must be able to lift, carrying, pushing and pulling items up to 75 pounds
