Job Summary
CDL Driver Trainee will be trained by Republic Services to obtain a commercial driver’s license (CDL) and, after completing the program and CDL, assume Driver responsibilities across Residential/Commercial/Industrial or Roll-Off lines. The role includes classroom and on-route CDL training, hands-on operation of heavy/ commercial trucks, performing pre- and post-operation inspections, following safety policies, reading route sheets, loading/disposal of material, and meeting a twelve-month employment requirement after CDL attainment. After CDL, duties transition to a Driver in the appropriate business line. The program emphasizes safety, operational readiness, and adherence to company policies while providing training and benefits. EEO and extensive company overview are included in the posting.
