Job Summary
Delivery driver for a national building materials distributor operating a commercial motor vehicle to safely and efficiently deliver materials to commercial and residential job sites. Responsibilities include inspecting trucks for defects, loading materials onto flatbeds or boom trucks, unloading at sites, delivering to assigned areas, maintaining compliance records for state and federal regulations, reporting accidents, and lifting up to 80-100 lbs. Requires high school diploma or GED, CDL (Class B required with Class A preferred), a clean 3-year MVR, knowledge of DOT regulations, and strong customer service and professional communication skills. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and the ability to work independently and with a team, with willingness to operate in outdoor environments and perform physically demanding loading/unloading tasks.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Minimum Class B License, Class A strongly preferred
- A clean three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
- Overall knowledge of Department of Transportation regulations
- Ability to load/unload heavy building materials up to 80-100 lbs
- Professional communication and customer service skills
