Job Summary
Conduct safe, timely deliveries of building materials to job sites within a 200-mile radius, ensuring all trips begin and end at the home branch with no overnight travel. Perform thorough vehicle inspections, verify inventory accuracy, and document deliveries with photos per company policy. Assess job site conditions to prevent hazards, collaborate with customers for material placement, and support yard operations including loading/unloading materials up to 100 lbs using forklifts or manually. Adhere strictly to DOT, OSHA, and safety protocols while managing fast-paced schedules and varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement
- Clean driving record
- Experience in commercial driving
- Knowledge of DOT/OSHA regulations
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs
- Ability to operate forklifts/Moffett's safely
- Ability to work in varied conditions
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Age 18+ (21 for interstate/hazmat)
- Pass background checks
- Pass drug tests
- Pass E-Verify
- High school diploma or GED
- Current DOT Medical Certificate
- FMCSA Registration
- Successful completion of pre-employment screenings including background check, drug test, and verification via the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration's (FMCSA) Clearinghouse
