Job Summary
Field-based CDL Driver to operate hi-rail and rail-bound detector cars across Eastern or Western US for extended multi-month assignments; perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintain DOT compliance, assist with rail flaw detection data collection, monitor and interpret data on onboard computer systems, and perform ground-level rail inspections using handheld equipment. Responsibilities include operating commercial vehicles on roadways and railroad tracks, routine vehicle maintenance, and ensuring safety protocols with PPE. The role is physically demanding, requiring climbing stairs, lifting up to 85 lbs (occasionally >100 lbs), and working under vehicles. Requires valid CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement, ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check, and strong communication and basic mechanical skills. Preferred qualifications include 2+ years of commercial driving and a High School Diploma or GED. Compensation includes a $1,000 sign-on bonus after 60 days and extensive travel opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B with air brake endorsement

- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Basic mechanical aptitude (e.g., changing tires, replacing batteries)
- High School Diploma or GED
