Job Summary
CDL Driver I responsible for delivering products to/from customers, company branch/warehouse locations, and suppliers; inspect vehicle for defects and complete daily inspection reports; ensure shipments comply with DOT/local/state regulations; load/unload materials, verify quantities and catalog numbers, and ensure items are free of damage before departure; may assist in preparing orders for delivery; complete delivery documentation including signed receipts and packing lists; pick up material returns and verify condition and quantities; may perform other branch duties such as counter sales, order preparation, receiving, stocking, staging, and shipping; requires strong driving record, DOT compliance, logistics coordination, and customer service to support timely deliveries.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of Motor Vehicle Record
- Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire
- Must not have had their driver's license suspended for traffic accidents/violations within the past 3 years
- Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years
- Ability to handle loads with a combined weight of 26,000 GVW required
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, and be familiar with traffic and driver laws
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work overtime as needed
