Job Summary
CDL Driver needed to deliver products to/from customers and company locations in Charlotte, NC. Responsibilities include inspecting the vehicle, performing DOT-compliant driving, loading/unloading materials, ensuring correct quantities and undamaged goods, preparing orders for delivery, completing delivery documentation, inspecting returned materials, and possibly assisting with other branch tasks such as stocking, shipping, and receiving. Requires valid CDL, 21+ years old, DMV/MVR checks, medical certificate verification within 60 days, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Strong emphasis on safety, customer service, accuracy, time management, and potential overtime; travel to offsite locations and exposure to a warehouse environment are noted.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of Motor Vehicle Record
- Must obtain verification of non-expired medical certificate as required by law within 60 days of hire
- Must not have had their driver's license suspended for traffic accidents/violations within the past 3 years
- Must not have any at fault accidents in the past 3 years
- 7+ years of driving experience and 1+ years of CDL driving experience preferred
- Or 1+ years of CDL driving experience required
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Ability to handle loads with a combine weight of 26,000 GVW
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations, and be familiar with traffic and driver laws
- Willingness to adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws
- Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent customer service skills
