Job Summary
Residential CDL Driver responsibilities include operating a residential/recycling collection truck to collect solid waste and recyclables on assigned routes, loading materials into the vehicle, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, identifying and reporting vehicle/mechanical issues, maintaining route quality and accurate service records, and ensuring safety compliance. The role requires CDL, clean driving record, ability to communicate with customers, basic reading/writing/map skills, physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and readiness to work overtime; benefits include PTO, health plans, 401(k) with company match, parental leave, disability coverage, and EAP.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED desired
- Must possess a Commercial Driver's License
- Minimum one year of commercial driving experience OR CDL school certificate
- Must be able to meet safety-sensitive criteria
- Ability to operate and drivetruck and equipment safely
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers
- Ability to read, write, and comprehend documents and maps
- Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds
- Ability to work in loud environments
- Flexibility for overtime
