Job Summary
Transport finished goods and raw materials between manufacturing plants and distribution centers via two daily trips from Janesville to Mineral Point. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, conduct light preventative maintenance, and safely maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions. Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations and internal policies while reporting vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly. Operate late-model Kenworth trucks with manual transmission in a fast-paced, on-the-road environment with exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Work consistent 3PM to 1AM shifts averaging 50+ hours per week, driving home daily with no overnights.
Required Qualifications
- Class A CDL
- 2 years of CDL driving experience
- Flexibility for 3PM-1AM shifts
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 23 years old
- No DWI/DUI on MVR in the past 3 years
- No more than one at-fault accident on MVR within the past 3 years
- Must pass pre-employment physical and DOT drug screen
- Ability to operate a manual transmission
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial driving or similar transportation roles
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELDs) and basic vehicle maintenance
- Comfortable with GPS and route planning technology
