Job Summary
Transport crushed rock, sand, gravel, and debris to and from job sites and disposal locations while safely operating dump trucks on public roads and uneven terrain. Verify loads for weight and safety compliance, perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, and report mechanical issues immediately. Maintain accurate delivery logs, clean vehicles after dumping, and ensure all credentials including CDL and Medical Certification remain current. Adhere strictly to DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards throughout shifts. Work outdoors in varying conditions, handle physically demanding tasks, and travel locally within the DMV area.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to adhere to strict safety protocols and precautions.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, to follow safety instructions, read project documentation, and communicate with supervisors and project teams.
- Valid Class A or B CDL.
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including manual transmission (stick shift) trucks, in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
- 2+ years of experience in construction.
- Proficiency in rigging, load charts, and DOT securement.
- Follow oral and written directions and plans
- Ability to pass drug screening, background check, and fit-for-duty tests.
- Must be able to work on weekends and at night when needed, sometimes with limited notice.
- Willingness to travel locally within the DMV area.

- Familiarity with bridge structures
