Job Summary
Safely operate a Class A day cab tractor with a 53-foot trailer to transport inventory between Everflow Supplies distribution centers throughout New Jersey. Perform local deliveries and inventory transfers while conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, completing required documentation, and verifying loads for accuracy. Secure and transport freight in compliance with DOT regulations, maintain accurate delivery records, and assist with loading and unloading when necessary. Represent the company professionally when interacting with employees, customers, and vendors. This local driving position requires a valid Class A CDL, minimum two years of recent experience operating a 53-foot trailer, and current DOT Medical Card. Target pay is $232.50 per day.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of recent experience operating a 53-foot trailer
- Current DOT Medical Card
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screening, and DOT requirements
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary
- Dependable, punctual, and safety-oriented
- Must be available for local driving position operating a company-owned day cab tractor with a 53-foot trailer
- Must be available for transporting inventory between Everflow Supplies distribution centers throughout New Jersey
- Must be able to conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete required documentation
- Must be able to secure and transport freight safely while complying with all DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Must be able to verify loads for accuracy and ensure products are transported without damage
- Must be able to maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and inspection reports
- Must be able to communicate effectively with warehouse personnel, dispatch, and management regarding schedules and delivery status
- Must be able to assist with loading and unloading when necessary
- Must be able to keep the assigned vehicle clean and report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly
- Must be able to represent Everflow Supplies professionally when interacting with employees, customers, and vendors
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a warehouse or distribution environment
- Forklift experience
