Job Summary
Operate snowplow trucks safely and responsibly during winter storms, perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, and report issues to Route Manager or Dispatch. Follow DOT, OSHA, and company safety rules; participate in safety meetings and training; assist other drivers or routes as needed; must be willing to travel to snow locations and stay for the duration of the event with hotel and per diem provided. Requires High School Diploma or Equivalent and a valid Class A or B CDL; must pass a DOT drug screen and MVR; maintain a clean driving record with no serious violations in the past 5 years; 18 years or older; 8-hour in-person snow training before season starts. This is an on-call, winter-season role with compensation at $35/hour and overtime opportunities during extended snow events/travel.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must be 18 or older
- Valid Class A or B CDL
- Pass a DOT drug screen
- MVR review
- Clean driving record—no serious violations or multiple accidents within past 5 years
- Willing to travel to snow locations and stay for duration of event (hotel, travel time, per diem paid)
- 8-hour in-person snow training before season starts
- Experience in snowplow operation preferred but not required
