Job Summary
Transport precast product from manufacturing locations to job sites across the eastern seaboard while operating a vehicle safely and professionally. Demonstrate a positive safety attitude by adhering to all Metromont, OSHA, and DOT regulations, including accurate completion of daily logbooks and vehicle inspections. Locate various job sites with minimal instruction and maintain the truck in a clean condition, ensuring required maintenance is performed and securing devices are used correctly. Inform supervisors immediately of any moving violations or accidents and comply with environmental policies regarding hazardous materials. Maintain a positive attitude with customers and adapt to changes in work schedules or tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license for a 3-year period
- Clean MVR report
- Basic mechanical knowledge and skills
- Basic reading, writing, and math skills
- Must adhere to all Metromont and OSHA safety rules and regulations
- Must be alert while driving
- Able to adapt to changes in work schedules, tasks, or processes
- Values and demonstrates safe working behaviors
- Must be able to train new drivers on Metromont policies regarding tractor trailer operation
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
