Job Summary
Drive vehicles over 26,000 lbs, ensuring contents are properly secured and performing pre- and post-trip inspections per DOT regulations. Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs, fuel trucks as needed, and service vehicles for oil, tires, and repairs. Load and unload cargo, bend and reach to move items, and stay on predetermined routes while adhering to traffic laws and weather conditions. Always prioritize safety and other assigned duties. This role requires a valid CDL (Class A preferred) and involves routine travel for two weeks at a time with lodging and per diem provided. Stripe-A-Zone, the largest pavement marking services provider in the US, seeks reliable laborers to join crews dedicated to safe, reliable road safety.
Required Qualifications
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) required - Class A preferred
- Must pass a background check and drug test
- Ability to lift and move fifty pounds at a time
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
- 2+ years of proven experience in commercial truck driving preferred but not required
- Possess great physical stamina and focus during long driving shifts
- Comfortable with long-haul transport
- Proficient in using GPS and other routing systems
- Map reading and route planning experience
- An innate sense of direction
- Initiative-taker who works well independently
- Disciplined, dependable, and resourceful
- Elevated level of composure and good stress management
- Clean driving record with no moving violations
- Skilled at driving and parking large, heavy vehicles
- Alert, focused, and meticulous
- Physically and mentally fit
- Valid CDL LICENSE (A preferred)
