Job Summary
Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on heavy equipment, reporting defects electronically via Geotab and Whip Around systems. Safely operate Class A or B trucks to transport hazardous materials and waste, adhering to DOT, state, and federal regulations. Perform loading and unloading of box trucks, assist with pressure washing, confined space entry, and site cleanup including shoveling and vacuuming. Complete daily timesheets, job hazard analyses, manifests, and land disposal restrictions while maintaining neat equipment supplies. Interact professionally with customers and follow all safety rules, PPE protocols, and site-specific plans during outdoor work in adverse weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
- Manuel Transmission experience
- Possession or ability to obtain required endorsements: Hazmat, Tanker, Air Brakes
- Physically able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary and lift > 50lbs routinely
- Pass a Pre-Employment DOT Physical, Drug Screen and Alcohol testing
- Pass a Pre-Employment Background Screening
- Pass the Company's Auto Insurance Qualifiers
- Pass the OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Able to read, write, and understand the English language, and able to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to work a rotating shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be prepared to work flexible or extended hours in inclement weather conditions including heat, cold, & humidity
- Ability to work under adverse conditions (heat & cold)
- Ability to drive-in all-weather conditions
- Accountability and punctuality
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Tanker and Hazmat endorsement
- Non automatic restrictions preferred
