Job Summary
Conduct classroom and behind-the-wheel CDL training for newly hired drivers, evaluate driver performance with coaching and mentorship, conduct road evaluations, provide refresher and safety-focused training, reinforce defensive driving and customer service expectations, ensure compliance with DOT/FMCSA/ELDT/licensing requirements, maintain training records, and support driver development initiatives while promoting a culture of safety and professionalism.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience
- Minimum 2 years of training, coaching, or instructional experience
- Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Ability to teach and coach adult learners effectively
- Flexible availability including occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination
- Ability to pass required drug and alcohol screenings
- Ability to successfully complete all required background checks
