Job Summary
CDL Driver I delivers materials to job sites, inspects and maintains the truck, reports shortages and claims to supervisor and assists in loading and storing of materials. Operates a truck with capacity over three tons; prepares DOT required logs; loads/ unloads materials; checks orders for accuracy; delivers and unloads materials to customers’ satisfaction; performs pre-inspections; assists forklift operators; maintains truck cleanliness; adheres to DOT guidelines and participates in trainings; provides excellent customer service.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Class A CDL License required
- Class B CDL License required
- 1-3 years CDL experience required for interstate commerce
- Ability to perform basic math, read orders, write instructions and complete forms
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, other employees and supervisors
- Maintain current operator’s license and meet company driver qualification requirements
- Knowledge of safe lifting techniques
- Proficiency with or ability to learn current technologies (e.g. Smartphone, GPS)
