CDL Driver I Laborer

Job Summary

Conduct routine vehicle inspections and preventive maintenance, reporting defects via Geotab and Whip Around while communicating with Dispatch. Safely operate heavy equipment including roll-off trucks and tractor-trailers to transport hazardous materials and waste, adhering to all DOT, state, and federal regulations. Perform manual labor duties such as loading/unloading equipment, site cleanup, shoveling, and assisting hazmat technicians with pressure washers and confined space entry. Complete daily timesheets, job hazard analyses, manifests, and land disposal restrictions, ensuring all shipping documents match piece and drum counts. Work flexible or extended hours in adverse weather conditions, including heat, cold, and inclement weather, while maintaining supplies and equipment in an orderly fashion.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
  • Manuel Transmission experience
  • Possession or ability to obtain required endorsements: Hazmat, Tanker, Air Brakes
  • Physically able to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when necessary and lift > 50lbs routinely
  • Pass a Pre-Employment DOT Physical, Drug Screen and Alcohol testing
  • Pass a Pre-Employment Background Screening
  • Pass the Company's Auto Insurance Qualifiers
  • Pass the OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Able to read, write, and understand the English language, and able to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to work a rotating shift, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be prepared to work flexible or extended hours in inclement weather conditions including heat, cold, & humidity
  • Ability to work under adverse conditions (heat & cold)
  • Ability to drive-in all-weather conditions
  • Apply triple and single rail tire chains when necessary
  • Hook/unhook hoses, open and close valves. Run and inspect wench systems.

Desired Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Tanker and Hazmat endorsement
  • Non automatic restrictions preferred
