Job Summary
Load, unload, and secure freight while accurately recording shipment weights and maintaining the company vehicle's security and cleanliness. Ensure all DOT regulations, inspections, and paperwork are current and properly documented, including Driver Qualification files and E-Log software proficiency. Coordinate pickups and deliveries with Shipping & Receiving, perform occasional long-distance hotshot runs or local routes, and comply with all safety rules and Quality System procedures. Work on a 24-hour call basis with on-site presence required. Must hold a CDL-A or CDL-B with Hazmat, possess a clear driving record, and be a US citizen or lawful permanent resident.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Minimum two (2) years of relative industry experience
- Must not have any personal or legal domestic or international travel restrictions
- Must have and maintain a CDL-A or CDL-B with Hazmat
- Clear driving record that conforms to company's insurance policies, ATF, DOT and State or other required Hazmat training
- Able to meet ATF & regulatory security requirements
- Must be US citizen, or lawful permanent resident of the United States (student Visa does not qualify), in accordance with ATF regulations
- Must be able to work on a 24-hour call basis, as needed
- This position requires an on-site presence, and regular attendance is an essential function of this job
- Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies
- Experience with flat bed trailer
- Must possess excellent telephone skills
- Must possess excellent written / verbal communication and customer service skills
- Must possess excellent organizational, customer service, and planning skills
- Be self-motivated
- Maintain professional appearance, attitude, and behavior
- Manage and work with people in a harmonious way to accomplish the tasks assigned to this position
- Able to learn and become proficient with software used for maintaining E-Log
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Oilfield operations is a plus
- Must be familiar with terminology used in and around the industry
