Job Summary
CDL Driver at SRS Distribution responsible for safe, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, ensuring inventory accuracy, performing thorough vehicle inspections, loading/unloading ( forklifts or manually), and documenting deliveries with photos. Role requires operating in varied weather and noisy environments, maintaining strong customer relationships through professionalism and teamwork, and complying with safety protocols and DOT/OSHA regulations. Must be able to handle materials up to 100 lbs, read English-language documents, and work long hours with a focus on safety and service.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement
- Must have a clean driving record
- Must operate forklifts safely
- Must be 18+ (21+ for interstate/hazmat)
- Pass background checks, drug tests, and E-Verify
- FMCSA Clearinghouse verification
- 1-2 years of relevant commercial driving experience
- Certifications: CDL A or CDL B with Air Brakes Endorsement, Current DOT Medical Certificate (Required)
- Forklift Certification - Preferred
- Hazmat endorsement - Preferred
- Multilingual abilities a plus for customer communication
- FMCSA Registration – Required
- Reading job-related documents in English
