Job Summary
Drive dump trucks and operate heavy equipment like excavators and loaders across Western and Central New York for environmental remediation projects. Model safety practices while attending to health regulations, project details, schedules, and budgets. Work cooperatively with minimal supervision, lifting 50 pounds and navigating steep terrain in all weather conditions. Be available for occasional weekends and overtime. Roux Associates, Inc. rebuilds environmentally challenged properties throughout Western New York.
Required Qualifications
- Valid and clean driver's license
- CDL Class A or B license
- High School or Associates technical degree
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Lift and carry a minimum of 50 pounds
- Walk up and down steeply sloped terrain
- Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy loads and perform manual labor as required
- Good vision and hand-eye coordination
- Ability to work with minimal or no supervision
- Self-motivated and a self-starter after basic training
- Communicate clearly and effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
- Basic computer skills and proficiency with basic Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Pass a company paid baseline and periodic health physical and drug screening, as well as motor vehicle record check, as required
- Strict adherence to corporate health and safety practices
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred 2 years of dump truck driving experience
- Experience running heavy equipment such as excavator backhoe, loader, grader, scraper, bulldozer, skid steer, tractor, and other pieces of heavy equipment
