Job Summary
Operate company vehicles up to 26' trucks in compliance with DOT regulations, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure roadworthiness. Deliver materials to customer project sites on time, unloading items and verifying deliveries against packing slips while protecting and staging materials per customer directives. Adhere to all safety protocols, including wearing seatbelts and appropriate personal protective equipment, and maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment. Participate in required company meetings and training programs, utilizing forklifts and other equipment as specified.
Required Qualifications
- Possess valid Class A or Class B CDL
- Minimum 1-year consistent commercial driving experience
- Must be able to learn how to operate a forklift and other company vehicles
- Must understand and be able to use miscellaneous tools and equipment, including but not limited to: dollies, flat carts, and rock carts
- Must be able to lift and/or move 80 lbs.
- Must be able to climb ladders carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to use proper lifting techniques
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment, safety shoes and clothing
- Must attend and participate in all required meetings in relation to material delivery and overall company
- Must attend and participate in all required company training programs
- Must adhere to all driving regulations based on state and/or jurisdiction policies such as wearing a seatbelt
- Must follow all safety protocols and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements to maintain a safe working environment
- Must be able to unload, protect, move and stage materials as specified by customer directive
