Job Summary
Deliver ready-mix concrete to construction sites as a skilled driver; perform daily DOT pre- and post-trip inspections (checking fluids such as oil and antifreeze); perform routine plant maintenance, cleaning, and use of power tools; review delivery tickets for addresses and additional products, clarifying concerns with dispatch; add ingredients like fiber and admixtures as directed; check slumps and concrete mix; manage chutes from fender to main chute; obtain signed delivery tickets and ensure all information is recorded; collect COD deliveries and return funds; wash truck after unloading; communicate with dispatchers throughout delivery; refuel nightly; safely maneuver trucks in uneven terrain and work long hours including weekends; climb in/out of trucks up to 13 feet, lift up to 80 pounds, and operate equipment in varied weather and site conditions; adhere to safety protocols, PPE requirements, and company policies while maintaining a safe, productive work environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid State-Issued Driver’s License, Class A or B
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background check, MVR overview, physical/DOT, and drug/alcohol testing
- Proficient reading, writing, and speaking English
- Ability to read GPS from company-issued tablet
- Excellent verbal and written communication with stakeholders
- Ability to understand and follow company policies, safety protocols, and PPE requirements
- Proven safe driving record
- No unexplained gaps in employment
- Ability to perform basic math (addition, subtraction, fractions, percentages)
