Job Summary
Deliver ready-mix concrete and related products to construction sites as a skilled driver. Responsibilities include daily DOT pre- and post-trip truck inspections, routine plant maintenance, reviewing delivery tickets for addresses and additional products, adding ingredients as directed, checking slumps and concrete mix, placing chutes, securing tickets, handling COD deliveries, washing the truck after unloading, and coordinating with dispatchers. Ability to safely maneuver trucks on varied terrain, work long hours including weekends/holidays, lift heavy loads (up to 80 pounds), climb into/out of the truck repeatedly, and comply with safety and PPE requirements. Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent and a valid driver’s license, pass background/MVR/DOT drug testing, and possess strong English communication and GPS-reading skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid State-Issued Driver’s License, Class A or B
- Willingness to undergo pre-employment background check, MVR overview, physical/DOT, and drug/alcohol testing
- Proficient reading, writing, and speaking English
- Ability to understand and read GPS from company issued tablet
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to perform job functions in accordance with company policies and safety directives
- Proficient basic math skills (addition, subtraction, fractions, percentages)
- Maintain driving record in accordance with Federal and State Motor Carrier regulations and company policy
- Active phone with texting or email capabilities for reliable communication during work hours
