Job Summary
Deliver building materials to job sites within a 200-mile radius while operating trucks, cranes, and forklifts. Perform pre- and post-trip inspections, coordinate with rooftop loaders, and verify inventory with photographic documentation. Assess job sites for safety risks, navigate confined spaces, and provide on-site customer service. Maintain accurate delivery records and adhere to DOT regulations and OSHA safety standards. Return home daily with no overnight stays, requiring strong organization and route management. This physically demanding role involves lifting up to 100 pounds and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Valid CDL driver's license with air brakes endorsement
- Proficiency in performing routine maintenance and safety checks
- Knowledge of basic mechanical systems
- Experience operating conveyor belts, knuckle booms, or crane-equipped trucks
- Forklift operation experience
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and OSHA safety standards
- Proficient in English (reading, writing, and verbal communication)
- Skilled in pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Capable of conducting job site inspections and reporting conditions
- Strong adherence to safety protocols
- Clean driving record (no hit-and-run, DWI, or DUI in the past 36 months)
- Must pass background check and drug screening
- NCCCO Crane Certification: ABC/ABL certification
- Current DOT medical certificate
- Travel within a 200-mile radius for material deliveries
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds
- Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather
- Must be able to safely operate commercial vehicles and cranes
- Must be able to navigate ladders and confined spaces
- Must be able to tolerate high noise levels
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1–2 years of experience
