Job Summary
Safely operate a heavy-load truck, ensuring all material is properly secured before and after each delivery. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections (DVIR) to verify truck and equipment condition, and complete all customer delivery paperwork and money collection. Report any material damage or customer incidents to dispatch and seek guidance on non-routine areas. This full-time role requires overtime as business needs dictate and involves travel across all region distribution centers. Candidates must possess a commercial driver's license (type A or B) and at least two years of truck driving experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving
- Proficient in driving automatic transmission trucks
- Possession of a commercial driver's license (type A or B)
- Capability to operate a gate lift
- Proficiency in operating an electric pallet jack
- Experience in handling commercial and residential deliveries
- Ability to service all region's distribution centers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Travel is required for this position
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check
