Job Summary
Safely operate a heavy-load truck, ensuring all material is properly secured at the start of each shift and continuously monitored after deliveries. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections (DVIR) to maintain equipment condition, and complete all customer delivery paperwork and money processing before the shift ends. Report any material damage or customer incidents to dispatch and seek guidance on non-routine areas. This full-time role requires overtime as business needs dictate, a commercial driver's license (type A or B), and the ability to service all region's distribution centers. Travel is required for this position.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving
- Proficient in driving automatic transmission trucks
- Possession of a commercial driver's license (type A or B)
- Capability to operate a gate lift
- Proficiency in operating an electric pallet jack
- Experience in handling commercial and residential deliveries
- Ability to service all region's distribution centers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Travel is required for this position
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
- Minimum of 5 years of forklift experience
- Minimum of 5 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving
