Job Summary
Safely operate a heavy-load truck with a GVW capacity of 30-55,000 pounds, ensuring all materials are properly secured before and after each delivery. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections (DVIR) to maintain equipment condition, and complete all customer supporting paperwork and money collection processes at shift end. Report any material damage or customer incidents to dispatch and seek guidance on non-routine areas. This full-time role in New Jersey requires overtime as business needs dictate and involves travel across all regional distribution centers. Candidates must possess a CDL (Type A or B) and at least two years of truck driving experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving
- Possession of a CDL (type A or B) Commercial driver's license
- Proficient in driving manual transmission trucks
- Capability to operate a gate lift
- Proficiency in operating an electric pallet jack
- Experience in handling commercial and residential deliveries
- Ability to service all region's distribution centers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Travel is required for this position
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check
