Job Summary
Safely operate a heavy-load truck, ensuring all material is properly secured at the start of each shift and continuously monitored after delivery. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections (DVIR) and document any issues or incidents related to material damage or customer matters. Collect, document, and securely handle money received to align with customer paperwork, while completing and returning all supporting documentation at the end of every shift. Seek guidance from a supervisor on non-routine problem areas and maintain excellent communication skills. This full-time role requires overtime as business needs dictate and involves travel across all regional distribution centers. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check is mandatory.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving
- Proficient in driving automatic transmission trucks
- Possession of a commercial driver's license (type A or B)
- Capability to operate a gate lift
- Proficiency in operating an electric pallet jack
- Experience in handling commercial and residential deliveries
- Ability to service all region's distribution centers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Travel is required for this position
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
- Minimum of 5 years of forklift experience
- Minimum of 5 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving
