Job Summary
Safely operate a heavy-load truck, ensuring all material is properly secured at the start of each shift and continuously monitored after deliveries. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections (DVIR) to maintain truck and equipment condition, while collecting, documenting, and securing money received to align with customer paperwork. Deliver materials to customer locations and complete all supporting delivery paperwork, reporting any issues or incidents related to material damage or customer matters to dispatch. Seek guidance from a supervisor on non-routine areas. Requires a commercial driver's license (type A or B), 2+ years of truck driving experience, and ability to service all region's distribution centers. Full-time position with overtime as business needs dictate.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving
- Proficient in driving automatic transmission trucks
- Possession of a commercial driver's license (type A or B)
- Capability to operate a gate lift
- Proficiency in operating an electric pallet jack
- Experience in handling commercial and residential deliveries
- Ability to service all region's distribution centers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Travel is required for this position
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
- Minimum of 5 years of forklift experience
- Minimum of 5 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving
