Job Summary
Safely operate a heavy-load truck with a 30-55,000-pound capacity, ensuring all materials are properly secured before and after each delivery. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections (DVIR), complete customer delivery paperwork, and collect and secure money in alignment with documentation. Report any material damage or customer issues to dispatch and seek guidance on non-routine areas. Requires a CDL (Type A or B), two years of truck driving experience, and proficiency in manual transmission trucks, gate lifts, and electric pallet jacks. Full-time position with overtime as business needs dictate.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving
- Possession of a CDL (type A or B) Commercial driver's license
- Proficient in driving manual transmission trucks
- Capability to operate a gate lift
- Proficiency in operating an electric pallet jack
- Experience in handling commercial and residential deliveries
- Ability to service all region's distribution centers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Travel is required for this position
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check
