Job Summary
Safely operate a heavy-load truck with a 30-55,000-pound weight capacity, ensuring all materials are properly secured before and after each delivery. Complete daily pre- and post-trip inspections (DVIR), load the truck correctly, and deliver materials to customer locations while processing all supporting paperwork. Collect and secure money received to align with customer documentation, and report any material damage or customer issues to dispatch. Seek guidance from a supervisor on non-routine areas and maintain equipment in good condition. This full-time role requires overtime as business needs dictate and involves travel across all regions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving
- Possession of a CDL (type A or B) Commercial driver's license
- Proficient in driving manual transmission trucks
- Capability to operate a gate lift
- Proficiency in operating an electric pallet jack
- Experience in handling commercial and residential deliveries
- Ability to service all region's distribution centers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Travel
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
- Minimum of 5 years of forklift experience
- Minimum of 5 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving
