Job Summary
Safely operate a heavy-load truck with a 30-55,000-pound weight capacity, ensuring all materials are properly secured before and continuously monitoring them after each delivery. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections (DVIR) to verify truck and equipment condition, then complete all customer delivery paperwork and collect secured funds. Report any material damage or customer incidents to dispatch and seek guidance on non-routine areas. This full-time role in New Jersey requires overtime and includes travel across all regional distribution centers.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving
- Possession of a CDL (type A or B) Commercial driver's license
- Proficient in driving manual transmission trucks
- Capability to operate a gate lift
- Proficiency in operating an electric pallet jack
- Experience in handling commercial and residential deliveries
- Ability to service all region's distribution centers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Travel is required for this position
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check
