Job Summary
Safely operate a heavy-load truck, ensuring all material is properly secured at the start of each shift and continuously monitored. Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections (DVIR) and document findings to maintain equipment in good condition. Deliver materials to customer locations, complete all supporting paperwork, and collect and secure payments aligned with customer records. Report any incidents related to material damage or customer matters to dispatch and seek guidance on non-routine areas. This full-time role requires overtime as business needs dictate, with travel across all region's distribution centers. A Commercial Driver's License (Type A or B) and two years of truck driving experience are required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving
- Proficient in driving automatic transmission trucks
- Possession of a commercial driver's license (type A or B)
- Capability to operate a gate lift
- Proficiency in operating an electric pallet jack
- Experience in handling commercial and residential deliveries
- Ability to service all region's distribution centers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Travel is required for this position
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of DOT rules and regulations
- Minimum of 5 years of forklift experience
- Minimum of 5 years of truck driving experience with a proven track record of safe driving
