Job Summary
CDL Class A or B Driver and Field Laborer in Environmental Services responsible for the safe operation of CDL vehicles used in environmental remediation, waste transport, industrial cleaning, and spill response, while performing hands-on field labor when not driving. Role supports emergency response and scheduled projects under strict DOT/OSHA safety requirements. Duties include driving various CDL units, securing loads and placarding hazardous materials, completing DOT logs, performing pre/post-trip inspections, assisting with environmental cleanup and containment, handling regulated materials, setting up work zones, performing physical labor outdoors, and participating in safety trainings and on-call deployments. Requires flexibility, physical endurance, and a strong safety mindset; growth opportunities include advanced driver roles and leadership paths.
Required Qualifications
- Valid, unrestricted CDL Class A or B license with acceptable driving record
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Ability to lift 40–50 lbs. and perform heavy physical labor
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, and varying weather conditions
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and on uneven terrain
- Willingness to get dirty
- Willingness to work extended hours, overtime, nights, weekends, holidays, travel (when needed), and be on-call
- Ability to wear respirators and meet OSHA respiratory protection and facial hair requirements
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong reliability, teamwork, and willingness to learn and try new things
- Must pass DOT physical, fit-for-duty physical, drug/alcohol screening, and background check
