Job Summary
Local CDL Driver to perform safe delivery of construction steel materials to local job sites and distribution centers. Responsibilities include safe operation of commercial delivery vehicles and forklifts, securing heavy loads with straps and edge protectors, conducting pre-trip and post-trip inspections, maintaining accurate logs and bills of lading, inventory control, and coordinating with on-site foremen and crane/forklift operators for safe unloading. Requires five+ years of 18-wheel flatbed experience, Class A CDL, and stick-shift proficiency; physically capable of lifting and moving throughout the shift. Offers weekday routes, home every night, competitive wages, benefits, and retirement plans.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license
- Proven ability to operate standard stick-shift transmissions
- Five or more years of 18-wheel flatbed experience
- Proven forklift experience
- Clean driving record
- Ability to stand, climb, reach, bend and twist throughout complete shifts
