Job Summary
Operate CDL Class A commercial vehicles including tractor trailers, tankers, and vacuum trucks to transport materials between sites while performing pre- and post-trip inspections and maintaining DOT logs. Assist with environmental cleanup, spill response, and industrial cleaning by handling regulated materials, setting up containment zones, and performing physical labor such as digging and debris removal. Support emergency deployments and on-call operations, reporting safety hazards and equipment issues immediately. Work outdoors 8–12+ hours daily in varying weather conditions, adhering to strict DOT, OSHA, and company safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Valid, unrestricted CDL Class A license with acceptable driving record
- Ability to safely operate CDL vehicles and complete DOT documentation
- Ability to lift 40–50 lbs. and perform heavy physical labor
- Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat, cold, and varying weather conditions
- Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and on uneven terrain
- Willingness to get dirty
- Willingness to work extended hours, overtime, nights, weekends, holidays, travel (when needed), and be on-call (potentially in the middle of the night)
- Ability to wear respirators and meet OSHA respiratory protection and facial hair requirements
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong reliability, teamwork, and willingness to learn and try new things
- Must pass DOT physical, fit-for-duty physical, drug/alcohol screening, and background check
Desired Qualifications
- Prior CDL driving experience in environmental, industrial, or construction settings
- Experience with vacuum trucks, tankers, or roll-off equipment
