Job Summary
Deliver merchandise to homeowners and job sites using company equipment, unloading materials by hand, dumping, or forklift based on site conditions. Maintain active Class A or B Commercial Driver's License, forklift certification, and an exemplary driving record while operating vehicles over 26,000 lbs. Complete daily and weekly maintenance checklists, adhere to traffic laws, and ensure all trucks and forklifts remain in safe condition. Assist with load building, yard maintenance, and unloading incoming freight as assigned. Address customers with courtesy, follow dispatch instructions, and maintain delivered inventory against loss and theft.
Required Qualifications
- active Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
- forklift certification
- some truck driving or delivery experience
- experience dealing with the public
- exemplary driving record
- good basic math skills
- satisfactory reading, writing, and speaking skills
- demonstrated ability to pass any drug tests required by the company or DOT
- ability to lift and load merchandise weighing up to 100 lbs. for various amounts of time
- ability to place merchandise in locations above six feet in height
- ability to unload a delivery truck
- ability to climb a ladder
- ability to maneuver safely at store, in yard or warehouse, and at job sites
