Job Summary
Perform pre/post trip inspections of assigned vehicles and execute safe roll rear, front, side, and roll off load operations across streets, highways, and customer sites. Complete route assignments, empty receptacles, clean spill areas, and accurately document all federally mandated paperwork. Provide courteous service to customers, notify dispatch of incidents or interruptions, and assist with backing maneuvers. Attend scheduled training programs and meetings while working alongside a Casella Waste Driver Trainer to obtain a Commercial Driving Permit and pass the CDL licensing exam.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- State issued standard CDL Driver's Class B permit with air brake endorsement
- Ability to get a CDL permit within 6 months
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Physical ability to handle objects more than 50lbs
- Ability to work under many different weather conditions
- Successful completion of pre-employment testing
- Drug screen
