Job Summary
Perform pre/post trip inspections of assigned vehicles and operate roll rear, front load, side load, and roll off trucks on streets, highways, and customer sites. Provide courteous service to customers, follow route assignments, and complete end-of-day documentation and paperwork accurately. Empty receptacles, clean spill areas, and notify dispatch immediately of incidents or unsafe situations. Attend scheduled training programs and meetings as required. Casella Waste, founded in 1975, covers all CDL training costs and offers a $2,000 hiring bonus.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
- Hold a state issued standard CDL Driver's Class B permit with air brake endorsement or has the ability to get one within 6 months
- Legally eligible to work in the United States
- Physical ability to handle objects more than 50lbs
- Ability to work under many different weather conditions
- Successful completion of pre-employment testing, including a drug screen
