Job Summary
Prune, thin, and remove deadwood throughout tree canopies while installing cables, bracing, and lightning protection systems. Operate chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts to perform hazardous tree removals and maintain vegetation health. Work as an active crew member with supporting ground staff using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems. Maintain CDL requirements and complete Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation, first aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses upon hire. Perform up to 25% travel across Denver locations. Required Qualifications
- 2-5 Years of experience
- Love of the outdoors
- Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
- Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
- Must be able to climb trees
- Must be able to operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and crew leader
- Must be able to perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully
- Must be able to prune, thin and remove deadwood throughout the tree canopy
- Must be able to install cables, bracing and lightning protection systems
- Must be able to remove hazardous trees
- Must be able to properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Background in Forestry, Horticulture, Landscaping, or working at heights
- Relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
